Summary
Ivy Koval is currently a freelance illustrator, portrait artist, and designer working in the DFW area of Texas. She works in a variety of traditional mediums such as graphite, charcoal, and pastels, acrylics, and oils, and during graduate school broke into digital painting in Photoshop and Illustrator. Currently, Ivy is working on illustrations for a children’s book series with a local author, and during her spare time on the weekends she enjoys reading anything and everything by J.R.R Tolkien and developing concept illustration ideas from some of her favorite books, particularly The Silmarillion (by Tolkien) and Black (Book 1 of The Circle Trilogy by Ted Dekker). Ivy is also honored to serve at her alma mater (Dallas Baptist University) as a professor teaching drawing, design, and painting.
